Most definitely, as we are regulated under guidelines laid down by the REC we conduct a series of checks and hold a current DBS certificate, along with references for each candidate. We know you need to be 100% sure that individuals who work on school grounds are reliable and free from previous problems.
Due to the quality of our supply staff this happens a lot! We are always competitive on price and if they’ve been with you over 26 weeks, they’re free!

We adhere to a strict REC and compliance policy to ensure that all of our customers are protected by the latest employment legislation. Since 1 October 2011, all agency workers who have completed a 12 week qualifying period with a hirer are entitled to treatment equal to that of the hirer’s own workers in respect of pay and basic working conditions. The Employment Agency (i.e. Concorde Recruitment) is responsible for ensuring equal treatment is provided. In order to be able to do this properly, we need to liaise with all clients to find out what the relevant conditions are.
Definitely not! We often find that Schools are keen to support NQT’s and are happy to give them every opportunity to gain experience.
Then think about this as a job search! The vast majority of our placements are initially temporary but our schools do take on Teachers they really like once they’ve had a chance to get to know them! It’s also a great opportunity for you to get to know local schools and decide which ones you would be most comfortable in.
We understand that the very reason some teachers choose to do supply is that they want flexibility and we are happy to cater to that. We’ll be careful to work out with you when you can work and do our best to keep you busy when you want to be.
