Our client based near Truro has a fantastic new job opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated IT Support Technician who is keen to develop their skills and abilities and move towards development.
You will assist the company achieve its strategic objectives through the intelligent implementation of IT. This is a broad job and we are looking for someone who is interested in infrastructure maintenance and end user support. You will be working alongside a dedicated and technically advanced team of senior engineers and be exposed to a wide range of technologies and experiences. You’ll also take a key role in developing applications and phone app development.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
Maintenance and monitoring of the company’s network infrastructure including file backups.
Troubleshooting of user’s IT issues both over the phone and in person for approx 50 staff
Maintenance of the company’s servers (Active Directory, File, SQL)
Identification, selection and installation of new IT equipment
Provide desktop support on Microsoft Products
Resolve basic issues around telephony and printers
Support anti-virus, Active Directory, Exchange and smart devices
Developing business critical web and server applications for both internal systems and customer portals
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Must have a proven track record of delivering outstanding technical support
Solid experience solving desktop and server problems
Excellent programming skills (.Net including C# and VB; php, python)
Pleasant and helpful telephone manner
Good problem-solving skills
All candidates MUST hold a valid driving licence and have access to own transport
